Arrival Catania - Departure Palermo
Day 1: Arrival (Catania airport or Catania harbour)
Welcome (if there is time, possibility to visit Catania center) and transfer to a very nice Country hotel in Fiumefreddo, between Catania and Taormina, immersed in the Sicilian countryside. Accommodation in the rooms. Dinner.
Day 2: Etna and Taormina
Breakfast and departure for Mt Etna (Etna Sud) up to 1800 metres. During the tour you will appreciate the beautiful landscape of various lava flows, brooms, chestnuts, grapes. We will reach Rifugio Sapienza, short walk to admire one of the famous "Silvestri” craters and lava flows of the many in a lunar landscape. Stop for shopping and lunch on your own. Then, on to Taormina. Here, we will visit the historic center with the beautiful ancient Greek Theater, Corvaja Palace, Odeon, C.so Umberto and enjoy the incredible views and panoramas.

Day 3: Syracuse and Noto
Syracuse - As a capital of Magna Graecia, Syracuse was without doubt the most important and powerful city outside Greece. Most part of monuments of this ancient city you will find in the monumental Neapolis quarter, a “new city”, transformed today into an archaeological park, where you can visit: the Greek Theatre, the Altar of Hieron II, the Ear of Dionysius, the Latomia del Paradiso, the Roman Amphitheatre. The historical center of Syracuse is the Ortygia island. Here there are alleys of the extraordinary charm. Moreover you will be able to visit the Cathedral, built “inside” Greek temple, the Fountain of Arethusa, symbol of Ortigia and other important monuments.
Noto - European capital of the Baroque and Unesco Patrimony from 2002. Noto is one of the most beautiful cities of Sicilian art. A splendid historical centre where you can admire many civil and religious monuments like Santa Chiara, SS, Salvatore, Cathedral S. Nicolo, Ducezio Palace, Nicolaci Street with its amazing balconies, Nicolaci Palace, Church of Montevergini, Church of San Domenico, Fontana d'Ercole and the Communal Theatre. Free time for shopping in the main street. A must is Cannolo (literally meaning “little tube” a Sicilian pastry dessert) or Granita (a semi frozen dessert of sugar, water and flavorings, originally from Sicily.
Day 4: Piazza Armerina and Agrigento
After breakfast, departure to Piazza Armerina: in the centre of Sicily there is a Roman Villa - beautifully conserved, the Villa “Del Casale” dating back to the IV century - a few km from Piazza Armerina. Famous for its mosaics, it shows us how the Romans used to live - precisely weaving policrome arranged in a skillful way to form mosaic. Agrigento is located in south west Sicily. In order to arrive there you will cross the heart of the island. There are many breathtaking sites you will be able to admire and visit – some temples to look out for at the Valley of Temples (Giunone, Concordia, Ercole) and of course the archaeological zone (Zeus, Dioscuri). After the temple visit you will stop for lunch, then onto the birth house of Luigi Pirandello, also nearby is the writer's grave. Overnight in Agrigento.

Day 5: Selinunte, Salt way road, Erice
Breakfast. Selinunte, the biggest archeological park in Europe, we will visit the Acropolis and temples E-F-G. Stop for a picture along the salt way road from Marsala to Trapani. Then visit of historical center of Erice, beautiful medieval city of Sicily where we try the famous cookies made by Maria. Overnight in Palermo.
Day 6: Palermo - Monreale
Visit of Palermo: Cathedral, Palatina chapel, Pretoria square, Martorana church etc. and Monreale, very interesting and spectacular the Duomo (Norman architecture), beautiful the cloister next to duomo. Overnight.
Day 7: Cefalù - Transfer Palermo airport
Breakfast. Visit of Cefalù with a beautiful Duomo and a view in front of sea.Transfer to Palermo airport.
