Day 1: Catania - Giardini Naxos
Upon your arrival in Catania airport , you’ll meet your driver and transfered by private car to Giardini or Taormina . Check in at a charming four star hotel. Balance of the day at leisure. Enjoy a welcome dinner this evening. ( d

Day 2: Etna – Taormina – Giardini Naxos
Half board at the hotel . Day at leisure in Taormina, famous for its Greek-Roman Amphitheatre and its enchanting view of the Ionic Sea and Mt. Etna. Taormina has been an exclusive Sicilian hotspot, since the beginning of the 19th century and is where many noble and rich families of Northern Europe spent winters due to its mild climate. Nowadays, Taormina is famous for its "dolce vita" life style, its beautiful beach, and its shops.
Optional: ETNA VOLCANO JEEP RIDE + lunch in a winery. Return to the hotel and spend the evening at leisure. Dinner on your own Overnight ( BB)

Day 3: Giardini Naxos – Siracusa – Noto – Modica
After breakfast, meet your tour director and leave for Syracuse, once one of the most powerful cities on the island. Guided tour of the archaeological zone: the Greek Theatre, the Roman Amphitheatre, the Ear of Dyonisus and the Latomie. Walk through the historical center on the Ortigia Island to admire the Cathedral, the Aretusa fountain and the ancient streets. Time at leisure for shopping and lunch on your own.
In the afternoon, visit of Noto a splendid baroque city. Continue to Modica, the ancient capital of Contea, a city full of fascinating architectural, artistic and scenic attractions, unique among those pertaining to the splendid Sicilian Baroque period. Take a guided stroll through the area. Check in at the Hotel : Cooking class followed by dinner and overnight

Day 4: Piazza Armerina – Agrigento
Breakfast at the hotel and departure for Piazza Armerina, a small town in the south-central part of the Island. Visit the Villa Romana del Casale, a Roman country villa of the 3rd century, famous for its precious mosaics. Lunch on your own.
In the afternoon, drive to Agrigento and visit of the Valley of the Temples, one of the most representative sites of Greek Civilization in the Mediterranean area. Visit to the Temple of Hercules, the Temple of Juno, the Temple of Castor and Pollux and the wonderful Temple of Concord. Transfer to Sciacca . Check in at the hotel. Dinner and overnight.

Day 5: Selinunte – Marsala – Erice - Palermo
Breakfast at the hotel and travel to Selinunte. Visit the archaeological area, the largest in Europe. Selinunte was one of the most important town of Western Sicily , in constant struggle with Segesta for power. Continue on to Marsala, a town on the Western coast famous for its wine production. Visit to Salt marshes , then transfer to a farmhouse for oil tasting along with a visit to an Olive Oil press followed by lunch.
In the afternoon, transfer to Erice, a nearby medieval town, located at the top of the homonymous mountain set 751 meters above the sea level and overlooking the whole Western region, the Mediterranean Sea and the Egadi Islands. Walking visit of its characteristic historical centre. Overnight in Palermo.

Day 6 :The Madonie Park and Cefalù - Palermo
Drive to the Madonie Mountains' Natural Park. Visit of Polizzi Generosa and sample typical local sweetmeats. A cooking class in a local family will be organized , followed by a special lunch.
Cefalù, famous for its rich historical centre (the Norman Cathedral and the medieval quarter) as well as for its beautiful beach and blue sea. Free time for shopping. Return to Palermo

Day 7: Palermo and Monreale
Walking tour of Palermo (the Norman Palace and the Palatine Chapel, the church of San Giovanni degli Eremiti, the Cathedral, Quattro Canti square, Vucciria market). Lunch on your own
Afternoon: Optional excursion to Monreale, an ancient village near Palermo, famous for its wonderful Norman Cathedral and the adjoining cloister, architectural masterpieces of King Roger II.
Return to Palermo.. You’ll have some time at leisure , perhaps to stroll through the city.
Farewell dinner at a local restaurant where guests will enjoy superb and refined dishes based on typical recipes from local culinary traditions.

Day 8: Departure
Breakfast at the hotel and check out . Transfer to the airport in Palermo, assistance with check-in and departure to your country

A minimum of 6 participants is required for this tour. The tour operator (Iside Viaggi-Fransicile) reserves the right to cancel any tour that don’t have the minimum required number of participants. If so, you will be informed at least 1 month in advance and your deposit will be reimbursed with no charges.
